On October 20, 2008, Arkansans learned of the brutal attack on KATV anchor and reporter Anne Pressly in a report on Channel Seven News. The story became even more tragic on October 25, 2008 when Anne died as a result of her injuries. A part of the mourning process was the difficult decision to clean out her desk. As items were removed and placed in boxes, a stack of hand-written post-it notes were found. Anne had a habit of writing a daily Bible scripture and would stick it to her computer screen. It gave her strength and encouragement. As the notes were read, it became apparent that sharing them might inspire others. The idea for this book came from seeing those hand-scribbled scriptures.
A scholarship foundation has been established in her name to reward outstanding future broadcast journalists. All proceeds from this book will benefit that fund.
